About The Sunflower SchoolHouse (SW Atlanta Homeschool)

We are a small homeschool located in SW Atlanta that combines bilingualism ( Spanish and English ) and themes of the African Diaspora! We are a Spelhouse duo & formally trained educators in Charlotte Mason's methods. Additionally, we have served as classroom teachers in the public and private school setting for over 10 years.

We provide a rigorous and diverse education in a home school setting that focuses on students reaching their full potential. Our goal is to make learning relevant and exciting for students by drawing connections between what they learn in the classroom and the real world. Additionally, we want the kids to have fun while learning! We provide support for Preschool to 3rd grade.

Our curriculums include:

-Right Start Math
- Moving Beyond the Page
- Hooked on Phonics
- Bilingual Brown Babies Comprehensive Spanish Curriculum

...and our own units we developed centered around Black History.

Our homeschool is nestled on over an acre of land with plenty of space for the children to explore. Also, included in our program are weekly Piano lessons by a trained pianist!
