Atlanta History Center Honors the Life & Legacy of Atlanta’s Most Well-Known Civil Rights Leader
On the third Monday in January, people across the nation come together in the spirit of civic responsibility and volunteerism to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Since 2017, Atlanta History Center has commemorated his life by offering free admission to the public and serving up a variety of educational programs that explore his legacy. This year, we’ll be looking back on past celebrations and sharing related resources that can be explored safely from home—including a special Author Talk featuring authors Stephen Kendrick and Paul Kendrick with Atlanta Student Movement leaders Charles Black and Rev. Dr. Otis Moss. Expanded resources will be available here on January 18: https://www.atlantahistorycenter.com/programs-events/public-programs/martin-luther-king-jr-day/
Funding for this program is provided by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
