
Autrey Mill Homeschool Days
Our Home School curriculum provides an exciting learning experience developed to engage students in the study of topics combining environmental studies, nature, heritage, and science.
Ages 6-11, Grades 1-5
10 am – 2 pm (bring a packed lunch and drink)
$25 for members, $30 for non-members. Your Family Discount will be applied automatically in the cart.
Each class stands on its own, so attend one, all, or several. REGISTRATION REQUIRED, please register at least 24 hours in advance of the class.

Electrifying the Past: Students will discover energy solutions of the past by investigating and discovering how a Delco Remy Generator functions.

Dried up History: Participants will learn how early Georgia settlers preserved food and take an Autrey Mill field trip to the new Smoke House (on-site).

Trading Posts: Join us as we explore history through the historic store ledgers of the Green Store and learn about the items early Georgian’s couldn’t make or upcycle for themselves.

Dwelling in the Past: Homeschoolers are invited to investigate how the Native American’s who lived in Georgia lived.

Cropping through History: Students will learn about the practice of Share Cropping as we tour the Tenant House and learn about early farm practices.

Home inspires us to explore our ancestry and how farm families of the past spent their daily lives.

Autrey Mill: Hike with us up the creek to the old dam site (weather permitting) and discover how water generated the energy needed to fuel a grist mill.
