Earth Science Course
Looking for a science curriculum for spring 2021?
Join Science Mom and Math Dad for a semester-long dive into Earth Science! We’ve designed this course especially for 4th-5th grade students and their teachers, but the course is also a good fit for a younger student or a middle schooler who is passionate about science.
Classes are taught live each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10-10:45 am Pacific time. Each lesson is recorded and replays are available.
Start and End Dates?
Class runs January 20 through May 7, 2021.
We want this course to be available to all, regardless of any financial difficulties caused by the pandemic. So the recordings of this class and the notes will be posted as FREE resources. We are able to do this thanks to the generous support of our registered students, who will also receive the following:
Access to the live lessons with an interactive chat and poll questions.
The option of attending a face-to-fact zoom meetup the week before class starts.
The satisfaction of knowing that YOU are making this class possible!
Registration for the course is $150 per family, which comes to less than $4 per lesson.
Do you offer supply boxes?
We do! We know that one of the challenges of teaching science is finding the time to gather the various ingredients and equipment. Our supply box comes with everything you need to do five art projects and five science investigations, plus some fun Science Mom swag items as well. Altogether, it contains:
World map tapestry, National Geographic reference books, printed copy of the doodle notes, string, tornado tube, ping pong balls, helicopter toy, balloons, 50 mL beakers, mason jars, compressed coconut fiber, seeds (clover, grass, thyme), LED light for mason jar biome, custom Science Mom water bottle and pencils, crayons, water colors, sidewalk chalk, modeling clay, starbursts, skittles, and spaghetti.
You can register for our course and purchase a supply box ($295) or purchase the box alone (no access to the live lessons) for $175. For families with two kids doing the course together, we have a supply box with an extra set of notes ($310).
Are supply boxes available to international students?
If you live outside the U.S. and would like a supply box, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll see if we can arrange one for you!
