Anatomy and Physiology: In Person with Labs
Hosted by Adventure by Learning:
Anatomy and physiology is a course that will enable students to develop an understanding of the relationships between the structures and functions of the human body. Additionally, students will learn the mechanisms for maintaining homeostasis within the human body.
This course uses technical equipment such as EKG readers, dynamometer reflex probes, spirometer probes, and ultrasound equipment. Students will participate in projects, dissections, socrative seminars, and an optional cadaver lab field trip near San Antonio, TX.
Throughout the course, various careers are highlighted to provide students context of how they could become a professional in the field of medicine. The textbook Human Anatomy and Physiology published by Benjamin Cummings is required for the course.
We meet in person every week on Thursdays from 2:30 – 4:00. Additional assignments are administered online via Google Classroom. This course has a heavy lab component.
