Novel Ideas: Language Arts Classes for the College Bound Register by July 1st 2021
Writing classes are offered for all ages from elementary school through high school. See website for details.
Novel Ideas exists to support families as they prepare their teens for the writing demands beyond high school. We offer middle school and high school language arts classes for college bound students. Upon successful completion of our high-school-level courses, students will be prepared to receive college credit through Advanced Placement or CLEP Examination.
REACH Academy is dissolving at the end of this school year. To fill this void, former REACH teachers and new teachers are rebranding REACH in order to continue to offer classroom experiences to homeschooled students. Watch for announcements here and on social media concerning the launch of Ignite: Advanced Academics for College-Bound Learners. For the 2020-2021 school year, we are planning to offer both in-person and online courses. In-person courses are dependent on the availability of classroom space and COVID restrictions/policies.
All of our in-person classes are small, capped at 12 students, to allow ample time to work with students in class and evaluate their writing, offering individualized suggestions for improvement. Online class sessions will be recorded, along with notes, tips for essays, etc., so that students can access the information on their own schedule and time. Parents have access to grades throughout the semester so that they may retain grades for transcript purposes. At the end of each class, students will receive a certificate of completion that lists their final grades.
