Owl Draw-Along with a Scientific Illustrator

Do you love to draw? Are you an owl enthusiast? Draw-Along with Curio’s Scientific Illustrator as we sketch and explore owls.

We will use the ODATA method as we investigate owls and learn to see and sketch like scientists. Our session will end with a playful “x-ray” investigation tool to see inside our own hand-drawn art. Our programs weave art, science, and technology into playful learning experiences.

*Drawing sessions are designed for ages 7-11, but all are welcome.

Materials needed:

colored pencils, markers, or crayons
Scrap paper
Drawing template with codes (will be emailed before the event)
Computer or tablet with a webcam
With our team’s background in natural science illustration, we know first-hand that when you spend time with a species, drawing it and studying it closely, you develop a deeper connection and understanding of the natural world. You learn as your curiosity leads to new questions, observations, and wonder.
