Sawnee Mountain Preserve Field Trips
Participants will be connected to local history, geography, and the environment through an enriching outdoor experience. These programs are hands-on learning opportunities that are align with the Georgia Standards of Excellence. Participants will have opportunities to use wildlife biology tools and methods, collect data, hike through diverse habitats while identifying its components, examine and identify real fossil specimens, and act like a bear foraging for food. These field trips are designed for participants aged 6 to 11 years old and are great for both homeschool and traditional school students.
