Taylor Made Science: Scientific Math and Measurement (Tuesdays)
Scientific Math and Measurement is an upper middle school course designed to equip students with the skills needed to be successful in high school honors science courses. Calculator math skills, scientific measurement skills, making and reading charts and graphs, and working with basic science formulas will be covered. Students will also learn to work cooperatively in groups and develop the logic and critical thinking skills necessary for succeeding in an honors level high school science course. Mastery of these scientific math and measurement skills will be demonstrated four times each semester through hands-on skills tests that are disguised as team escape game inspired “adventures.”
Taylor Made Science courses are live, interactive, online classes. Cheryl Taylor personally teaches these Zoom classes through a combination of PowerPoint augmented explanations, engaging class discussions, and hands-on labs.
