About Ignite: Advanced Academics for College-Bound Learners

Ignite partners with homeschooling parents to prepare students for college and a lifelong love of learning through advanced, academic classes. At Ignite, we celebrate diversity and include everyone, regardless of race, religion, identity.

We offer core courses for middle and high school students in grades 6-12. Courses are academic and student work is evaluated by the teacher. At the end of each course, teachers provide a final grade report for the course. In the future, we look forward to offering a wide range of elective options so that students can have options to complete their secondary coursework in a variety of ways. Feel free to suggest a class that your teen would be interested in and a teacher to teach the class, if you know one. Ignite courses meet once a week.

Online classes are interactive, engaging, and offer opportunities to build community. During class time, students are presented with information and practice skills related to homework. Each week, teachers provide “homework,” which students complete over the next week. Teachers are available to students throughout the week, should they need additional help or support. Finally, most high school classes have semester exams.
