About Museum & Gallery at Bob Jones University
Currently located on the campus of Bob Jones University, M&G has been open and accessible to the public since 1951. While the collection’s primary focus is European Old Master paintings, it also displays nearly 200 pieces of Gothic to nineteenth century furniture, approximately 100 works of sculpture, some 60 textiles, over 1,000 ancient artifacts, and approximately 130 architectural elements that range from stained glass windows to fireplace mantels.
We are not offering public museum hours while we fundraise for a new building location in downtown Greenville and prepare the collection to move; however, we provide K-12 and adult programming in-person including ArtBreak lunch and lecture, Kids Create! summer art day camp, tours of specific collections in campus buildings, and Homeschool Days arts-integrated lessons. We also offer many features online: monthly podcast, enrichment videos and articles, scavenger hunts, art career resources, and a series of educational videos (for purchase) focused on six ancient civilizations for homeschoolers including Egypt, Rome, and Babylon. Explore our website to learn from and more about our Collection that covers more than 45 centuries of mankind's culture.
